Haha!  The women's support group to get guys together for Men in Tights at this year's faire is starting to come together.  I just need to get a hold of a few more guilds and I think we may be set.

Guys need to volunteer still! 

Well, I was knighted for ministry Saturday.  So I am Sir Wolfe now(female I may be, but dame just doesn't fit).

The doctor has ruled on the bump on my wrist that appeared back in October.  It's a ganglion cyst and he's pretty insistent I wear a wrist brace as much as possible from now on to help prevent carpal tunnel.  The look on his face when I said I do sword fighting was hilarious.  He nearly freaked when I mentioned the weight of my training shield. 

In other news, Coniach won crown war so he is, for the next month until coronation, Prince of the Kingdom of Vega.  I supported him, so I'm happy.

When planning on walking about 5+ straight hours, choosing the right shoe is imperative.  I did not choose wisely, so I won't be fighting this week.

It's squishy.

As usual, I forgot to take pictures.  Well, I took pictures.  Of someone else's A-frame for ideas, and of the squad area before it was finished.  I have to finish the roll before I can get those.  If they survived the heat.  I hope they did.

Fought in Blood of Heroes, heavy.  Lasted one round where I was fallen upon by a big guy whose weight caused my helm to put a couple small cuts in my forehead.  Yeah, had to duck out because the blood got in my eye and I couldn't see and, well, I was borrowing my torso protection and it was white and blood stains, and yeah.  People freaked and called a medic but really, all I needed was to be cleaned up and get a bandaid.  Nothing serious.  My squad mates avenged me, unnecessarily since he tripped and fell on me, but the thought is nice.  I didn't get to see because people were too busy pressing stuff to my forehead for the blood.  But hey, no internal swelling, because I got a nice big lump on my forehead for a couple days, no internal bleeding because it's been long enough that I'd be dead by now if that was the case, no concussion because I lost no time and had no nausea.

Hurt my right hand in prep work and set up and that is still bugging me.  Someone suggested carpal tunnel.  I don't know.  I'm taking it easy on the hand, hopefully it'll get better in a week or so.  Bump on left wrist from last post is still there.  Still not causing problems.  Pulled a couple things during tear down, they've mostly faded. 

Other than the various set-up and tear down jobs I pretty much took it easy this year and took the time to enjoy faire.  Bought another hat, this one's for shade not looks.  Bought a set of matching daggers, green and gold, for my dagger baldric.  Pirate party was a success, and apparently I make a good bartender and bouncer, we have five confirmed "kills" and a sixth seriously "wounded" who needed to be taken back to his camp before he passed out.  Saturday parties around faire were incredibly mild.  I was shocked. 

Overall, a good time.

I'm not entirely sure what caused it but it seems harmless.  If my internet research is correct it's a harmless underskin bubble of tendon liquid that sometimes forms when an injury occurs and the liquid quantity increases to fix things.

I'm not sure what injury caused this as I really haven't hurt my wrist recently, but I have been pushing my arms muscles to build up for steel combat.  Maybe it's the combined stresses on the tendons, joints, and muscles.
